Our organisation does not operate in a vacuum. Our actions and behaviour impacts on our environment and its communities.
"We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which our organisation was formed. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present."
Far from being tokenistic and demeaning, we think acknowledgements such as this are important foundations for further reconciliation. We also believe most indigenous people support statements like this.
By generating economic activity we both create and facilitate negative externalities. We seek to reduce, reuse or recycle wherever possible.
We think contributing to the community is important. The Australian Pro Bono Centre lists an aspirational target of 35 hours per person per year. We will seek to achieve this target. Even though we're not lawyers.
